How do I search the Quran in the Tanzil app?
In shortTap the magnifier on the Quran tab and type. Arabic letters search the Arabic text; anything else searches your translation.
Steps
- Open the Quran tab and tap the magnifier in the top bar.
- Type at least two characters. Arabic searches ignore the vowel marks; other text searches the translation you read.
- Turn on the whole-word icon in the search box to skip partial matches.
- Tap a result to open it. ⋯ on a result offers Copy, Share, Bookmark, Tajweed and Tafsir.
Good to know
- Surah names are searched too and shown at the top.
- The results show how many ayahs matched and how many times the word occurs. The first 250 ayahs are shown.
- Search works offline.
