How do I turn on tajweed colours in the Tanzil app?
In shortOpen Reading settings, find Text and size and switch on Tajweed. Each rule gets its own colour.
Steps
- In the reader tap the Reading settings icon (or go to Settings → Quran).
- Under Text and size, switch on Tajweed. Arabic must be on.
- To see the rules of one ayah, tap ⋯ next to it and choose Tajweed. It splits the ayah into its rule groups.
- For the full rules, open the reader's ⋮ menu and choose Tajweed rules. The same menu has Learn to read Quran.
Good to know
- In Book mode, colours apply to the Arabic Book text. For mushaf pages choose the With Tajweed mushaf instead.
- Tajweed rules are explained in the app's language.
